The idea behind the immigrant ministry is that many foreigners are led to Finland in order to hear the Gospel. Most of us do not have a chance to go as missionaries to reach people from different cultures. Now that Finland is becoming more international all of us have a chance of doing mission work.
Our immigrant ministry reaches people from many different cultures. They vary in age and are from different social classes. With some we travel for a longer time, others we meet only once. Many immigrants do not receive an asylum from Finland. They have to return back to their country of origin. Nevertheless, many get to hear the most important news, the Gospel. Additionally, they receive a New Testament or the entire Bible in their native language as well as important information about following Jesus. Many have made a profession of faith and have continued to follow Jesus even after they have been sent back from Finland to their country of origin.
The immigrant ministry has many facets and many levels. We have a core team that operates actively and additionally those who join us only once a while. We also have individuals who take are involved in regular events.
The immigrant ministry is challenging but also very interesting and versatile. When serving one gets excited and edified himself. As we minister, we get to see God’s love and manifestations of His power. If you feel called to join this ministry or would like to get more information, please contact us.
