For over 30 years an inter-denominational evangelization campaign has operated in the capital region reaching people on the streets during Friday nights. In the parks and on the streets of Helsinki team members evangelize as well as invite all who are willing to join the Gospel Cafe nights. In addition to coffee and sandwiches, there is praise and worship, testimonies and teaching. Those in need have a chance of receiving intercession and counseling.
Many seeds of faith have been planted in these Friday for Christ nights during decades. For many, the fresh start has meant deliverance from alcohol and drugs. The best known of them perhaps is the late Lauri Jakkila.
