“And I will bless them that bless thee.”
Genesis 12:3
One Way Mission’s Israel work began in 2005. The Kol Bamidbar church and Anat Brenner with her team who directs the work at the Red Carpet Center are two of our local partners in the women’s refuge operation, evangelization and in our other operations in Israel.
On the Jewish side, the work is mainly street evangelization in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. At the beginning of 2009, we opened a refuge for women as well as a support center. The staff is from the Kol Bamidbar church. In addition to this, we support the work done by the Red Carpet Center among prostitutes and drug addicts in Tel Aviv’s red light district. We also support the work done by Antony Simon, pastor of Kol Bamidbar church, among the Arabs.
Israel is a country of many opposites and many forms of opposition. Even so it is a country that is on God’s heart in a very special way and also our spiritual roots can be traced back to Israel. An important form of Israel work that each of us can take part in even here at home is intercession.

Areas of Ministry
The women’s refuge and support center are located in Jerusalem’s peaceful suburban area. The refuge is meant for women who actively want to see a change in their lives.
The goal of the women’s home is to help women in situations where their lives have gone off the rails for whatever reason. At times when sorting out the problems in their lives, we might have to struggle intensely for instance with welfare officers in order to allow the women to keep their babies, but it’s worth it.
Dona Simon, the wife of Pastor Antony Simon of Kol Bamidbar church, directs the work at the women’s home.
The women’s home works closely with various relief agencies. One of its most important partners is the Pro Life organization that specializes in preventing abortions. Through them, many pregnant women have found their way to the women’s home. Most of them decide to keep their babies even though it is not always an easy choice especially if their families have disowned them and they are left without any kind of support. In these situations, the women’s refuge along with the Pro Life organization strives to give them all the support and help needed for an independent life.
The organizations that send women to Jerusalem’s women’s home usually have various treatment programs for them. Therefore, the basic task of the women’s home is to provide a safe home where the women don’t have to worry about the concerns of day-to-day life such as paying bills. They can focus all their attention on rebuilding their own lives.
